Electrical Rewiring
The outdated cloth wiring found in many older homes is a potential fire hazard and should be replaced. Better building materials have led to major advancements in electrical insulators. Since the 1960’s, homes have been using wiring that has a plastic/rubber insulation which is still working fine today. However, many of the houses built before then use an outdated knob and tube wiring method with cloth covered wire.
Studies have shown this type of wiring to be hazardous and unsafe because it breaks down when exposed to the elements and heat and is no longer a safe choice and potential fire hazard. Feders specializes in rewiring old houses and bringing them up to code. To eliminate this hazard, we will remove the cloth wiring and completely rewire the house to meet all city requirements and inspections.
